Sand & Finish
Sand and Finishing hardwood floors at Alford's is as much art as it is a science. We use the industry's latest technology along with years of experience to create a perfect combination of color, texture, and sheen on your wood floors. We offer oil modify poly, water base poly, and hardwax oils along with traditional waxing of historical floors. You can choose textures from flat sanding, wire brushing, and hand-scraped to distressing that will suit your taste. All sand and finish jobs are completed with the lastest dust containment to achieve the cleanest environment possible.
Installation
At Alford's Hardwood Custom Floors every install is expertly executed by certified Craftsman. From start to finish we follow all aspects of NWFA and manufacturer guidelines. Whether it's unfinished new wood tying in to an existing space or a whole house new pre-finshed installs. We never skip steps, from screwing down existing sub-flooring (to eliminate squeaks) to filling nail holes at the end for a seamless looking job.

Custom Pattern Installation
At Alford's if you can dream a custom wood floor pattern we can create it. From authentic parquet patterns to metal inlays. We can design and install patterns in new or existing floors. There is no better way to make a entry way become a grand foyer or a dining room a truly formal dining room.
Custom Border Installation
Alford's has a passion for border work. We can create borders around rooms to define the space or install a border around a kitchen island to draw attention to the center of the room. Borders can simply be of the same wood species or have different wood species like walnut or American cherry to complement the furniture in a room. Borders around a fire place hearth are a great way to distinguish the focal point of a family room. 
Handrail Replacement
As many people realize once you're floors have been newly installed or freshly refinished, your handrails may need a updated as well. Alford's can handle anything, from the latest metal baluster or over size box knewls. Start to finish we can guide you to a beautiful new railing system that will complete your project.

Alford's Custom Hardwood Floors absolutely loves a Historic restoration project! Bringing the beauty back in a floor that may have been covered in many other types of flooring for generations can be very rewarding. We work with reclaim Mills across the country to find the perfect match for floors that need repairs so that it looks like it has been there since the home was built.
